Josh McGuire Racing Regroups from "Speedweeks 2008"; Adds Two New Sponsors!
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team kicked off their version of the 2008 racing season recently at the East Bay (FL) Raceway Park and the Volusia (FL) Speedway Park from February 5-15. Josh McGuire, who debuted a new-style C.J. Rayburn racecar in the Sunshine State, struggled to find the handling on the new car throughout his "Speedweeks 2008" journey, but was able to put his #41 entry into one feature event. After winning the PRC Strawberry Dash on Saturday, February 9 at East Bay, Josh wound up twenty-fifth in the final rundown of the $12,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series main event. The 75-lap race was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing later in the year.

"The good part about Speedweeks is that it is over," joked McGuire recently via telephone. "We learned a lot about this new style C.J. Rayburn car and it is going to be a great car once it is all said and done. I have to thank C.J. for all of his help throughout Speedweeks, as I could not have even gone down to Florida if not for him. We will regroup over the next several weeks and probably hit Florence next on March 22."
In other news, Josh and his #41 Dirt Late Model team have added two integral sponsors for the 2008 racing season. Performance Rod & Custom (PRC) and K&N Filters have both joined JMR following "Speedweeks 2008." Josh would like to thank both PRC and K&N for their support and he looks forward to representing both companies in a first-class fashion this season and beyond!
