Josh McGuire Finishes Second in Charlotte 30; Heads to Georgia this Weekend!
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team invaded the pristine Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina last weekend for the annual running of the 'Circle K Colossal 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned the $50,000 to win crown jewel event, which was condensed into a one-day program on Sunday, March 29 following inclement weather. Josh McGuire unfortunately could not transfer his #41 entry into the 100-lap main event after he finished eighth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main.
The weekend was not a total loss; however, as Josh had the opportunity to compete in the inaugural 'Charlotte 30' for non-qualifiers. The Grayson, Kentucky driver ran a strong second to winner Will Vaught in the $2,000 to win race. You can view complete results from the Charlotte area venue by accessing www.worldofoutlaws.com.
The #41 team will now turn their focus to a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events in the Peachtree State of Georgia this upcoming weekend. The popular national touring series will sanction a $7,000 to win show at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia (April 3) and a $10,000 to win event at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia (April 4). Josh comes into the doubleheader weekend tied for fifth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings.
