Josh McGuire Racing Preps for Florence Following Tripleheader Weekend

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team were extremely busy last weekend (April 3-5), as they entered a trio of events in as many different states. Their tripleheader weekend kicked off with a $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show at the Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on Friday, April 3. Josh won his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled off from the pole position in the 40-lap A-Main. After leading lap one of the feature, Josh hung around up front and eventually landed a solid fourth place finish. He now finds himself third in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings.

On Saturday after the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race at the Swainsboro (GA) Raceway was called off due to rain, the JMR team quickly trekked north to the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee. The O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) sanctioned the annual 'Shamrock 50' and a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs. Josh ran third in his B-Main to advance into the 50-lap main event. After starting seventeenth on the grid, the Grayson, Kentucky native worked his way past seven competitors en route to a respectable tenth place effort.

The team's ultra-busy weekend concluded on Sunday, April 5 with a $2,009 to win unsanctioned event at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. Josh finished fourth in heat race action and was running just outside of the top five in the A-Main when he suffered an untimely flat tire.
