Josh McGuire Prepares for Skyline and 201 Following
Runner-Up Effort at Moler
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team
was back in Dirt Late Model competition on Friday night, May 14 at
the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio. An unsanctioned event
took place at MRP on Friday and a $2,000 top prize was up for grabs.
Josh McGuire qualified well and later won his heat race to earn the
fifth starting spot in the 'Freedom Fighter 40.' The Grayson, Kentucky
native then sported a strong racecar in the 40-lap main event, as
he blasted past three competitors to earn a strong runner-up performance
behind winner Jason Jameson.
On Saturday evening, May 15, Josh and his #41 team made
a last minute decision to invade the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky,
as they tried to beat not only the competition, but also Mother Nature.
After Josh set fast time in qualifying for the regular weekly show,
the rains unfortunately came and postponed the rest of the $1,500
to win program. Complete results from Moler on Friday can be accessed
online at www.molerracewaypark.com.
Weather pending, the JMR team plans to enter a pair
shows at the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on Friday night, May
21 and the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, May
22. Both weekly events will pay $1,500 to the winner. The program
at 201 on Saturday will resume from where it was postponed last week
after Josh laid down the quickest lap in qualifying. Additional information
on these races can be found online at www.skylinespeedway.net
