Josh McGuire Readies for Huge Memorial Day Weekend Tripleheader!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team returned to racing action on Friday night, May 20 at the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio. The ADRA Series sanctioned a $2,500 to win showdown last Friday at the southern Ohio speedplant. Josh McGuire timed in fifteenth fastest during the qualifying session and later finished seventh in his heat race. Following a second place effort in his B-Main, Josh rolled off from the inside of the eighth row in the main event. Unfortunately, the Grayson, Kentucky driver suffered an early flat tire and subsequently retired from the race in the nineteenth position.

On Saturday evening, May 21, the dirt-slinging competition turned back south to the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. The STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League (MDRL) sanctioned a $3,000 to win program at LCS. Josh was on the track competing in his heat race when Mother Nature invaded the area and rain pushed back the entire show to Friday, May 27. Full results from Moler last Friday can be viewed online at www.molerracewaypark.com.

The #41 team has a huge tripleheader ahead of them over the ultra-busy Memorial Day holiday weekend (May 27-29). On Friday, Josh will head back to the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky for the rain-postponed $3,000 to win MDRL showdown from last Saturday. The driver known as "Bad Fast" is then scheduled to invade the Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, Tennessee for the first time in his career on Saturday evening for a $3,000 to win Volunteer Racing Series (VRS) program. Things will conclude for the team right where it started, as the Lake Cumberland Speedway will host a $2,000 to win unsanctioned show on Sunday night. Any last minute schedule changes will be noted first at www.joshmcguireracing.com.
