Josh McGuire Heads to Skyline and 201 Following Busy Memorial Day Weekend

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team ventured west over the Memorial Day holiday weekend for a pair of high-profile Dirt Late Model programs in the states of Missouri and Illinois. On Friday and Saturday, May 28-29, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the 18th Annual 'Show-Me 100' at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Josh McGuire ran fifth in heat race action on Friday night, but put on a show for the standing-room-only crowd and the SPEED Channel cameras on Saturday evening in the B-Main. He traded slide-jobs with Chris Simpson for the top spot before settling for a strong second place performance.

Josh later rolled off twenty-third on the grid in the $30,000 to win 'Show-Me 100.' The Grayson, Kentucky native was running a patient race until a lap 50 bout with the turn four wall. His #41 C.J. Rayburn entry suffered front-end suspension damage and Josh was forced to retire from the crown jewel event in the twenty-sixth position.

The dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Sunday, May 30 for the annual running of the 'Fed-Ex 50.' The UMP DIRTcar Series sanctioned the one-day show at the St. Louis area speedplant and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Unfortunately, Josh was unable to transfer into the 50-lap main event after finishing sixth in his competitive heat race and fifth in his B-Main. Next up for the #41 team will be two more Dirt Late Model events in Ohio and Kentucky on June 4-5. The Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio will play host to a $1,500 to win regular weekly show on Friday night, while the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky will hold a $3,000 to win unsanctioned program on Saturday evening. Josh has already reached victory lane at both facilities in 2010, so look for "Bad Fast" to be a huge threat this weekend. Additional information concerning these races can be found online at and

In other news, Josh McGuire Racing would like to welcome South East Biomedical Company (Pine Top, Kentucky) on board as a proud supporter of the #41 team. Danny Richardson and the rest of the staff at Sebco, Inc. have been great to work with and Josh looks forward to representing them in first-class fashion on and off the racetrack this year!

Josh would like to thank all of those dedicated sponsors who have backed him through the years including: Kuntz & Co. Racing Engines, GCP Race Engines, C.J.
