Josh McGuire Competes in Ralph Latham Memorial;
Eyes Portsmouth Opener Tomorrow!
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Grayson, Kentucky native Josh McGuire
invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday
night, June 4 for the annual running of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial.'
The ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again
sanctioned the one-day program, which boasted a $10,000 payday. Josh
grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat
race and later rolled off from the outside of the seventh row in the
50-lap main event. During the course of the caution-plagued race,
Josh moved up to fifth early before a loose wire in the engine compartment
relegated him to a twenty-sixth place effort. Complete results from
this year's version of the 'Ralph Latham Memorial' can be viewed online
The #41 team will now turn their attention to the Portsmouth
Raceway Park season opener on Saturday, June 11. A $3,000 top prize
will be on the line tomorrow evening at the Portsmouth, Ohio facility.
The track, which sits virtually on the banks of the Ohio River, has
been sidelined so far this year due to extreme flooding this Spring.
