Josh McGuire Racing Readies for Second Segment of Southern Swing
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team were back in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition last weekend (June 11-13) in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. At the Duck River Speedway in Wheel, Tennessee on Thursday night, Josh had problems in heat race action, but was able to earn the third and final transfer position in his B-Main. After starting twenty-second on the grid in the $7,000 to win A-Main, Josh worked his way past seven cars en route to a fifteenth place performance.
The North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia was up next for the Josh McGuire Racing team on Friday evening. Unfortunately, Josh narrowly missed out on transferring into the $10,000 to win feature event after running seventh in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. Saturday's $10,000 to win weekend finale at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama was rained-out. Josh currently sits ninth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings following the action-packed weekend.
