Josh McGuire Looks Forward to Huge 4th of July Holiday Weekend!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team closed out the month of June in the Buckeye State of Ohio. On Friday night, June 25, the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio played host to a $1,500 to win regular weekly show. Josh laid down the quickest lap during qualifying and won his heat race to earn the pole position for the A-Main. The Grayson, Kentucky native settled into the second spot at the drop of the green flag and remained there for the entire race. Josh wound up a strong runner-up in the final rundown at Skyline behind winner Chris Carpenter.

The Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio then wrapped up the weekend for the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team on Saturday evening, June 26. Josh also set fast time during qualifying at PRP and once again won his competitive heat race. After starting from the pole in the $2,000 to win A-Main, Josh unfortunately broke an axle on the first lap and was relegated to a disappointing seventeenth place finish. Complete results from the doubleheader weekend can be found online at www.skylinespeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.

JMR has prepared their equipment for a huge 4th of July holiday weekend, which includes four special events at four different venues in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Josh will kick-off the ultra-busy extended weekend tonight, July 1 with a rare trip to the Beckley Motorsports Park in Mount Hope, West Virginia.
