Josh McGuire Racing Prepares for Big Doubleheader
in Commonwealth of Kentucky!
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late
Model team entered a pair of events from July 6-9 in the states of
Ohio and Kentucky. On Wednesday night, the Brushcreek Motorsports
Complex in Peebles, Ohio played host to the unsanctioned 'Hidden Gem'
race. Josh laid down the quickest lap in his group during the qualifying
session and later won his heat race. After starting fourth in the
$10,000 to win main event, Josh tore up the nose of his car early
in the race, but soldiered on to a strong fifth place performance
in the 50-lapper behind only winner Darrell Lanigan, Tim Dohm, Eddie
Carrier, Jr., and Duane Chamberlain.
Following a few days away from the racetrack, the Josh
McGuire Racing (JMR) team turned their focus to the Richmond Raceway
in Richmond, Kentucky on Saturday evening for the "Butterball"
tune-up race. Josh started at the tail end of his heat race, but stormed
through the field to finish second in the prelim. The Grayson, Kentucky
native then had his sights set on the $1,200 top prize in the feature,
but power steering issues caused him to retire from the event in the
twelfth position. Complete results from both venues can be accessed
online at www.brushcreekmotorsports.com
The JMR team will stay in their home state of Kentucky
on Friday and Saturday, July 15-16 for a pair of high-profile shows.
On Friday night, the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky
will play host to the $4,000 to win 'Mulligan Plumbing 50.' Another
unsanctioned program will take place on Saturday evening at the Richmond
Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky. The 24th Annual 'Paul Butterball Wooldridge
Memorial' will pay $7,500 to the winner on Saturday at Richmond. Additional
information concerning both of these races can be viewed at www.lcspeedway.net
