Josh McGuire Preps for Portsmouth Following Runner-Up Effort at Richmond!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team had a pair of $5,000 to win events on their racing calendar over the July 17-18 weekend. Following a rain-out of the 'Engines, Inc. 50' at the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio on Friday, the JMR team focused solely on the 22nd Annual 'Butterball Wooldridge Memorial' on Saturday evening at the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky.

Josh won his competitive heat race to earn a starting spot towards the front of the $5,000 to win O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series-sanctioned main event. The Grayson, Kentucky driver ran strong early, led laps 21-41, and eventually wound up a strong runner-up behind winner Mike Marlar. Next up for the Josh McGuire Racing team will be a trip to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday night, July 25.
