Josh McGuire Looks Forward to Huge Labor Day Weekend Following Lawrenceburg & Bardstown

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team traveled to the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana (August 28) and the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky (August 29) to compete in a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races last weekend. At Lawrenceburg on Friday night, Josh McGuire finished fifth in his competitive heat race and was in a transfer position early in his B-Main when he suffered mechanical troubles. The problems cost Josh a chance to compete in the 50-lap main event at the newly refurbished 3/8-mile complex.

On Saturday evening at Bardstown, things went smoother for the #41 team in the 'Bluegrass Classic' program. After breaking a transmission in qualifying, Josh rallied to finish fifth in heat race action. A second place effort in his B-Main transferred Josh into the 60-lap feature event, where he later rolled off nineteenth on the grid. In the caution-free 'Bluegrass Classic,' which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel, the Grayson, Kentucky driver notched a twentieth place performance.
