Josh McGuire Preps for Brownstown Following Harvest 50 Weekend

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Grayson, Kentucky native Josh McGuire and his #41 team headed north to the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio on September 18-19 for the 'Harvest 50' weekend. On Saturday at Skyline, Josh qualified well and later ran second in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot in the $3,000 to win main event. The driver known as "Bad Fast" guessed wrong on tires in the A-Main, but still wound up a solid third in the final rundown behind winner Eddie Carrier, Jr. and runner-up Zach Dohm.

In the weekend finale at Skyline on Sunday, a $5,000 top prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the 'Harvest 50.' Josh once again laid down a fast lap during the qualifying session, but was unfortunately involved in a heat race incident and relegated to a seventh place finish. He later advanced up to fourth in his B-Main, which was a few spots out of a coveted transfer position into the night's 50-lapper. Full results from Skyline can be found online at

Next up for the Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team will be a trip to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana for the 31st Annual 'Jackson 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the prestigious event, which boasts a $20,000 winner's check. Qualifying will take place at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked fairgrounds venue on Friday, September 24, while heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap 'Jackson 100' will headline the program on Saturday, September 25.
