Josh McGuire Goes for Wild Ride in Jackson 100;
Looks to Rebound at Brushcreek
(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team
invaded the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on
September 23-24 for the 32nd Annual 'Jackson 100.' On Friday night,
Josh McGuire started off his weekend by posting the eighth fastest
lap in his group during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying.
When Saturday evening rolled around at the 1/4-mile,
semi-banked fairgrounds oval, Josh advanced up to second in his heat
race to earn the eighth starting spot in the $20,000 to win 'Jackson
100.' The Grayson, Kentucky native was running solidly inside of the
top ten until his #41 MasterSbilt entry flipped several times in turn
one on lap 57. Josh escaped the violent accident unscathed, but he
was done for the night and finished in the fifteenth position. Complete
results from Brownstown can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.
Josh and the #41 team have worked some long nights this
week to get their car back together for the annual 'Billy Bob' at
the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio on September 30-October
1. Qualifying and heat race action will take place tonight at Brushcreek,
while the consolation races and both feature events will be held on
Saturday evening. An $8,000 top prize will be on the line in the first
50-lapper on Saturday, while a $12,000 winner's check will be up for
grabs in the 50-lap finale. Additional information on the 'Billy Bob'
program can be accessed online at www.brushcreekmotorsports.com.
