Josh McGuire Runner-Up at Skyline; Readies for DTWC!

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio last Saturday night, October 11 for a $2,500 to win, unsanctioned Dirt Late Model event. Josh, who has enjoyed tremendous success throughout the past couple of seasons at Skyline, was eyeing his eleventh feature victory of 2008. The Grayson, Kentucky native started off the evening by finishing second in heat race action, which earned him the outside fourth row starting spot for the A-Main. Josh was then behind the wheel of a very fast racecar in the main event and took the lead for several laps before eventually winding up a strong runner-up in the final rundown behind winner Steve Shaver. The #41 team now looks forward to the annual edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship' at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on October 17-18. Qualifying and heat race action will take place at Jim Nier's 3/8-mile speedplant on Friday night, while consolation races and the 100-lap, $50,000 to win 'Dirt Track World Championship' will headline the activity on Saturday evening. Josh will be looking to make his third straight DTWC feature start! You can view additional information on the crown jewel event by pointing your web browser to www.kc-raceway.com.
